Happy Days

I sketched

I colored

I designed on EQ
I was not happy

I ripped
I slashed
I cut
I auditioned

I stitched
I added all the leftovers and rejects

I added a bit more
I am very happy with the
back door of my log cabin posies quilt

It has a new name
Not your Prim and Proper log cabin with posies

And for the first time ever, ever, ever in making a quilt
I have an idea of how I want to quilt it.

Hello 2011
Happy days are here again

So long sad times
Go long bad times
We are rid of you at last

Howdy gay times
Cloudy gray times
You are now a thing of the past

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So let's sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again

Altogether shout it now
There's no one
Who can doubt it now
So let's tell the world about it now
Happy days are here again

Your cares and troubles are gone
There'll be no more from now on
From now on ...

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So, Let's sing a song of cheer again

Happy times
Happy nights
Happy days
Are here again!
[Music and Lyrics by J. Yellen and M. Ager]

Happy New Year
from a late bloomer

  1. Oooo.. I can't wait to see this quilt form the front.. I wonder how exactly you finished it and love the back door. It is as welcoming as the front!
My friend, late blooms on the plants are precious.. Any gardener knows that! It is his last chance to take it all in before the cold winter arrives.. It is the last memory he will keep in his mind as he gets ready for fall clean up. He will stare at that flower longer because he knows it is precious!

Hope you continue having a happy day!
